Victoria, first innings 300 Queensland, first innings, (2 wickets) 18C
For Victoria A’Beckett made 47 and Morton, not out, 23. Oxenham was very destructive, capturing six of the. visitors’ wickets for 79.
The weather was fine and the wicket good. Oxenhara, who was in fine form, always had the batsmen in difficulties, sometimes being unplayable.
Queensland made a good start and, batting carefully in the opening stages of the innings, wore down the Victorian attack. —A. and N.Z.
