' New York State elected a Republican Assembly, with a majority of 30 seats. * Cleveland voted to retain the city manager plan of government; Concord, New Hampshire, re-elected a male mayor, defeating a lady - aspirant for this office. Philadelphia elected a Republican city administration. Pennsylvania and New York each chose Republicans to fill vacancies in the Federal House of Representatives. Ohio defeated a proposal, urged by the Anti-Saloon League' to restore the fee system for justices trying liquor eases. Salt Lake City, Utah, a complete Republican City administration. ‘ • "

New York City failed fo re-elect its two Socialist judges, and all' Socialists running for office in the- State were defeated. The majority ' ’of mayors elected are Republican. New Jersey re-elected a Republican Assembly.
