MAUNGAKARAMEA (From Our Own Correspondent.) CATTLE SALE. The usual fortnightly sheep and cattle sale was held on Tuesday, when there was a, good yarding of all classes of stock. Prices were on a par with the previous sale, the dry spell of weather no doubt affecting the prices. The benefit of summer time was apparent to all present, and all business was over in good time. According to reports, the next sale is to witness the commencement of a series of pig sales, which will no doubt prove a useful innovation. PERSONAL. Mr and Mrs T, O’Carroll left by train on Tuesday for Auckland and the Hauraki Plains. Mr Robinson, manager of the Auckland branch of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency was present at the cattle sale on Tuesday.
