HOME-MADE CLOTH BALL.

Mix together five ounces of pipeclay and one ounce of pulverised French chalk and form into a paste by adding two ounces of methylated spirit. Roll into a ball and put aside till hard and dry. This, will clean light-coloured doth. Damp the cloth lightly with warm water, rub the cleaning ball well into the material, then leave to dry for an hour or so. Finally, brush thoroughly till all trace of the powder has been removed.
