AUSTRALIAN LABOUR’S POLICY
SEVERAL AMENDMENTS. DEFENCE PLANK REVIEWED. TAXATION OF INCOMES. (Received 9 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The Labour Conference at Canberra passed a resolution amending the Federal Party’s policy, particularly in regard to defence. In addition, it was resolved that the Commonwealth Constitution be amended in order to include a condition that there should be conscription for service overseas, the Government retaining the power to provide for adequate home defence against possible foreign invasion.
