The Governor-Genera] has received the following telegram from the Duke of York: “The Duchess and I hope very much that every school in New Zealand may be given an extra holiday at Master to commemorate our visit.” (Signed) Albert. This Excellency has replied to the following effect: "Your Royal Highness-’ kind thought for the children b; deeply appreciated by the Government and people of New Zealand. The Government is communicating with Hie Boards of Education and other controlling authorities with a view to giving effect to your Highnesses ’ wishes.”—-Press Assn.
