Mr C. L. Grange, Town Cclrk, resumed duty today, after spending a holiday vacation in the Rotorua district.
Mr J. Reid, advertising manager of the “Wanganui Herald,’’ is visiting Whangarei. Ho is accompanied by Mrs Ecid.
Mr E. B. Ross, farm valuer, of the Public Trust Department, Hamilton, is staying at the Settlers’ Hotel. He is accompanied by his wife and daughter.
Mr A. J. Crandall, who hails from the United States and has been for some time with the Zane Grey party at the Bay of Islands, is staying at the Commercial Hotel.
Mr P. R. Gardner, of Kamo, left by the express for Auckland today, where, amongst other matters to which he will give attention, he will inspect the 40-foot launch which is being built there to his order. Among the guests at the Settlers’ Hotel are Miss E. N. Wilson, Messrs Jethro Lock, O. C. Paget and C. Boyne, Mr and Mrs H. Matthewmen, ami Mr and Mrs Reynard, of Auckland; Mr and Mrs R. Parker-Hill, Papatoetoe; Mr and Mrs F. IT. B. Downward, late of Levuka; Mr C. McKinnon, Kaitaia, and Mr S. J. Wissin, Wellington.
