(Special to “Northern Advocate.”) AUCKLAND, This Day. The weather was favourable for training operations at Ellerslie this morning. In the only gallop on the course proper, Princess Ronnie finished in front of Thursby over a round which was run in 2.1 (two trestles out) on No. 1 grass. The first to work was Chairman, who ran four furlongs in 564, going nicely. Serang finished in front of Gold Fern and Merry Damon over five furlongs, done in 1.7 1-5. Tall Timber took 1.9 1-5 to run the same distance. King Emerald ran the last five of his work in 1.7. Segment finished in front of Speechless and Ambrosia over five furlongs, run in 1.5 2-5. 1.7, going easy over the first part of the journey. Museari was in front of Fair Abbey at the end of seven furlongs, which occupied 1.33. Automne did strong work over seven furlongs, running the last five in 1.6 1-5., Master Boon was just in front of Pelham over five furlongs, run in I.4—a good gallop.
