We offered 117,940 bales, including 35,700 New Zealand, 3950 Cape, 23,000 South American, 71,000 colonial, 24,500 South American. Continent has bought 61,000, Home trade 33,000, America 1000. Wc have carried forward 51,000 bales, of which 34,500 were not offered. Prices: Merino, good to super, 22-Jd to 25d, low to medium. N.Z. prime crossbred mutton, Canterbury, heavy, 5 l-8d; light, 6 l-8d; N.Z. prime crossbred mutton, North Island, heavy, 4 5-8 d; light, 5 7-Bd. The demand for N.Z. mutton is limited. The market is quiet. N.Z. prime ox .beef, hinds, 4 5-8 d; fores, 3 l-Bd. The demand for N.Z. beef is limited. The market is dull. Good average crossbred lamb, Australian, light, Bd. The demand for Australian lamb is poor. The market is very Quiet. Good average quality mutton, light, 4 l-Bd. The demand is moderate. The market is weak. Imports of fresh moat from the Continent are prohibited. This may affect best Canterbury crossbred mutton and Can'drbury crossbred lamb in the near future. BUTTER AND CHEESE.
