Mr Shrimpton, of Wellington, who has picked up broadcasted news and supplied it to the Press Association, has received the following from Mr Meinholtz, manager of the “New York Times”: “Please accept my personal thanks for the hearty co-operation shown in the long distance short-wave tests just concluded. Starting with this message, wc will not be on the air for 0400 G MT except on Sunday mornings, from 0400 GMT to 0700 G MT. We hope we can keep the same line up and exchange greetings weekly.—Press Assn.
