It is worthy of note that for the ordinary monthly stock sale advertised for Wednesday last by the North Auckland Farmers’ Co-operative and Dalgoty and Company, not a hoof of any kind was brought forward, which has not happened on a similar occasion since these sales were started over a. quarter of a century ago, and perhaps speaks well for the winter outlook for feed for the district, farmers preferring to hold their stock until spring instead of offering them at. prices now ruling.
