FIRE AT FRANKTON
FURNITURE STORE DAMAGED. HAMILTON, This Day. A furniture storeroom at Frankton, owned by J. Jebson, carrier, agent for the New Zealand Express Company, was extensively damaged by fire early this morning. The store was packed to the roof with valuable furniture and crockery. Although some of the contents were salvaged, several owners had furniture destroyed.—Press Assn.
ANXIOUS PARENTS
SON MISSING PROM HOME. TAUMARUNUI, This Day. The 16-year-old son of Mr K. R. Kapoor 1 , of Kakahi, has been missing from home for over a fortnight. 'The boy had been studying for the Civil Service examination and came to Taumarunui on the day the results were i made known. He was. seen at the railway station, that afternoon, but since then lu.s completely disappeared. A toy answering his. description was seen at Te Awamutu recently. This is the I second time he disappeared, being (found at Te Kuiti on the last occasion. —Press Assn.
