New appointments are:—Mr. Boden (Grey Lynn); Mr. Watson (Westport); Mr. Hunter (Balelutha); Mr. Law (Norman, Auckland); Mr. MeMutrie (Matamata Junior High); Mr. Morland (Kaiapoi); Mr. Overton (Terrace End, Palmerston North); Mr. Richardson (Victoria Avenue, Wanganui). It is not yet decided what districts the new officers will be appointed to.

The death is announced from London by Press cable of Mr John Robertson, Labour member of the House of Commons for Bothwell, Lanarkshire. The late Mr John Robertson was a Whip of the Labour Party, and chairman of the Scottish Labour group, and of the Scottish Miners Union. He was 59 years of age at the time of his death, and began work in a Lanarkshire coalmine at the age of 11. He was one of the most responsible _and best-liked of the Scottish miners’ representatives, with a passionate interest in better bousing. He was first elected for Bothwell in 1919, and during the period of Mr Ramsay MacDonald’s Ministry he was one of the Lords Commissioners of the Treasury.
