GLOOMBUSTERS' CLUB
FU/I TEADING TEIP.
The attendance at the weekly meeting of the Gloombuaters' Club in the Y.M.C.A. rooms last evening was not quite up to that prevailing earlier in the season. No doubt the inclemency of the weather prevented many of the members from. venturing out.
The speaker last evening was Buster Sanson, who in a racy talk, extending over 45 minutes, took his hearers for a trading trip among the Fiji Islands group. The various vicissitudes met with by traders in that locality were graphically and humorously portrayed by the lecturer and at the conclusion of his address he was heartily applaudol.
The National Council of the Y.M.C.A. has been making inquiries of the local clu'b, which is the first in New Zealand, as to what constitutes "Gloombusting." The general secretary of the Auckland branch is also keen to know something about it, and opportunity is to be taken by Busters B. Whiting ana O. Baumann on their visit to Wellington next week to impart the necessary knowledge. On their return it is hoped that they will be aible to announce that clubs of a similar character .a .-e been established in the Auckland and Wellington centres.
