OVERLAPPING UNIONS
WEAKEN THE MOVEMENT. BAILWAYMEN'S RESOLUTION. (Received 11 a.m.) LONDON, July 10. The Congress of the National Union of Railwaymen at Southport passed a resolution deploring the present weakness in the trade union movement owing to numerous sectional overlapping unions, declaring that the time had arrived for consolidation of forces to ensure the workers showing a united front. —Reuter.
