THIRD GRADE
OLD BOYS v. KAMO,
This match was played at 1.30 p.m. on No. '3, Kensington, and resulted in a win for .Old Boys by 15 points to nil. Old Boys were infinitely superior throughout, both in speed and combination, and only a tendency towards faulty "handling of the ball was responsible for a bigger score not being recorded. The first score came from a penalty kiclt by Conway from a faildistance out. Shortly afterwards a brilliant rush was originated by Old Boys'' forwards which resulted in 'Wakelm getting over the line. His 'try, however, w T as not converted. A mark by C. Doel in a handy position resulted in that player getting the ball over "the bar.
From a scramble near the line D. Webster notched the next score, but Conway was not successful in converting, although lie made a splendid effort.
The final score in the match was secured by Conway after a determined and clever passing movement had been indulged in by the forwards. Doel failed to convert and the game ended ■ —Old Boys 15, Ivamo nil. Mr. J. Howie was referee. *
