The body of an elderly man, believed to be that of Charles Alves, of Te Kbpura, jSTorthern Wairoa, was found on a grassy bank near the Shamrock Hotel in Albert Street last evening. There were no signs of violence. From papers on the deceased it is understood that he was visiting Auckland on busi-
