REORGANISATION PROPOSED. NON-PROPRIETARY STATUS. (Received 1.10 p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The report of the Select Committee inquiring into pony racing has been presented in the Assembly. It recommends, inter alia, that various clubs not operating under the Associated j Racing Clubs be formed into non-pro- • prietary clubs and such clubs form , i among themselves an association of J clubs. The report recommends that i the body thus constituted have power j to control its own affairs, including the appointment of officials and the granting of licenses, subject to the rules and endorsement of the Australian Jockey Club; that such association of clubs be empowered to hear and determine all appeals from the committee or stewards of any club which is a member of the association of clubs, but subject to the condition that any person affected by such determination shall have the right of appeal to the Australian Jockey Club's committee.— A. and N.Z.
