IXTKIIEHT AT TITOKI,

The absorbing interest that is taken at Titoki in table tennis reached its climax when, on Monday evening, <t , tournament was held, Titoki \oung Men's Club A team versus Ladies' A team. Mr R. H. Watson, president, acted as host, and very shortly had the games going in full swing. The spectators were unanimous in proclaiming the play well above the average, being swift, sure and thoughtful, while the teams were so evenly balanced that for a long time it was difficult to say which team would prove victorious. The results are as follows, the ladies' names being first: —R. Taylor v. L. Downs, I—2; K. Fraser v. R. H. Watson, o—3;0 —3; A. Alexander v. W. McLeod, 2 —l; M. McLeod v. J. Downs, 3 —o; A. Reid v. K. Pepperell, o—3;0 —3; M. Alexander v. A. McLeod, I—2. The men's total was 11 games and the ladies' 7. The club entertained the visitors to supper, thus bringing to a close one of the pleasantest evenings spent this winter. The B team has a challenge out, and the ladies' team is arranging a return match.
