New Zealand delegates attended ' a conference on agricultural co-operation in the Empire at Wembley.

Mr Noel Buxton, Minister of Agriculture, presiding, said that some of the Dominions would give specific State assistance to co-operation. The British Government had recently allotted £200,000 for the purpose of loans to cooperative enterprises engaged in the preparation and marketing of agricultural produce.—A. and N.Z.

At the co-operative agricultural conference ti resolution was passed on the motion of Sir James Allen advocating facilitation of more direct methods of bargaining between co-operative producers, consumers and agricultural cooperatives in an endeavour to establish close inter-trade relations between consumers and wholesale societies.

The Canadian Chamber of Commerce passed a resolution that the time had arrived to take vigorous steps to consolidate the trade interests of the Empire, for which conferences of all associations of manufacturers in the Empire should be arranged.—Reuter.
