' The first meeting of creditors in connection with the bankruptcy of W. T. iJavnton, butcher, of Maungaturoto, was held yesterday. Twelve creditors
were present or represented- In the absence of the Assignee Mr A. J. Grant was elected chairman. The meeting was of opinion that, in view of complicated questions likely to arise, it was adviwible for the Assignee to be present, and the ' meeting adjourned till Tuesday next for this purpose.
