EARTHQUAKE SHOCKS.

NEW YORK, July 23
A telegram from Los Angeles states that two severe earthquake shock 3 startled the city early this morning. They lasted six seconds. The shocks threw pedestrians off their feet and cracked walla, but no, injuries or serious damage have been reported. Many well known film stars fled from their homes at Hollywood, where the shocks were particularly felt.—A. and N.Z.
