HUKERENUI SPORTS.
PROGRAMME PUBLISHED. In to-day's issue appears the programme for the Hukerenui Aathletic and Axemen's Carnival, which is to be held at Hukerenui on Easter Saturday, March 31. The committee in charge of the carnival has adopted a progressive policy. The principal event of the day is the standing chop handicap, 15 inch block, which carries prize money to the extent of £15. The underhand chop is worth £8, whilst in the Hukerenui Cup, run over a distance of 150 yards, prize money of £6 will be dividend between the place-getters. In all there are 16 items on the programme and entries fox handicap events close with the secretary, ftjr R. Rouse, at Hukerenui on Saturday, March 17.
