A SIMPLE CEREMONY.
(Received 9.30 ajm.) ROME, Jan. 26. The Pope lists been • touried. Tha body was placed in a coffin in tho Chapel of it'he Holy Sacrament. The Absolution was then read and the remains carried to the vaults and interred there with fis little ceremony as possible. —A. and N.Z. REQUIEM MASS. WESTMINSTER CELEBRATION. (Received 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, Jan. 27. There was a record attendance at the Westminster Cathedral celebration of Requiem Mass for the Pope, those present including representatives of the King and Queen, and tie QueenMother, Alexandra, foreign ambassadors and military attaches from the embassies.
