PERSONAL
An Auckland telegraphic message to-day retards the death of the Hon. P. J. Nerheny, of Auckland, a member of the Legislative Council.
General regret was expressed, writes the Waikiekie correspondent of the "Northern Advocate," when it was learned that Constable Quinn had beau transferred to Onehunga. Constable Quinn has only been stationed in Waikiekie for about 12 months, and in that time has proved himself a. reliable and capable officer. His influence in the district has been beneficial, and he has .the best wishes of the people for his success at his new station.
