DELHI, Nov. 27.

A fighit occurred in the neighbourhood of Pishni .between 250 Waziii tribesmen from Afghanistan, and a company of 80 sent to intercept them. The company fought gallantly against overwhelming numbers. The two British officers in charge were killed, <the senior Indian officer wounded, 25 Sepoys killed and a greater number wounded, the enemy carrying off 20 of the latter. The attackers' losses are not stated. It is understood that the local Afghan Government attempted to stop (the raiders. Strong official protest has been made to the Afghan Government, which has been asked to secure the Telease of the wounded prisoners.—Eeuter.
