MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETING At the meeting of the Management Committee of'the Whangarei Rugby Union last evening "Tote" and "Bunny" Finlayson, the two North Auckland reps, and last year's mainstays of the Kamo Club team, were registered as members of United Cluo, for whom they will don the maroon jersey on Saturday week, United having a bye next Saturday. H. Webb- was re-graded to junior ranks for Maungakaramea. THE MAUNGAKARAMEA FIELJ3 It was decided to notify the Maungakaramea Club that its players must be on the ground punctually on future occasions and also to direct them to mark off the playing field and to provide bars to the goal posts. ADMISSION CHARGES FIXED Hikurangi Club suggested institution of regular charge s for admission to all cup fixtures and it was resolved that they be fixed at Is per head, ladies free, and boy s under 16 years at half price. PROBABLES v POSSIBLES In view'of the forthcoming matches for Senior A and B representative teams it was resolved that Cup fixtures on Saturday June 11 be postponed and that a match Probables v Possibles be played on that date, when it is hoped that a really ir.r.er"esting game will eventuate. COLOURS INSISTED UPpN It having been reported that some players had not worn their correct Club colours, it was resolved that referees be instructed to penalise all cases in future. The power of a referee in that direction i s to order any player not properly unif omed off the field. A vote of thankg was accorded Mr Spencer Day for a donation towards the Union's funds. north Auckland union Owing to communications having been received from Southland relative to the challenge forwarded by the North Auckland Rugby Union to play for the Ranfurly shield, it was notified that a special maeting oi that Union would take place in Whangarei on Monday evening to discuss the position.
