THE CHRISTMAS MATCHES.
AUCKLAND TEAM'S VISIT.
Th e players who are being sent to Whangarei by the Auckland Suburban Cricket Association are expected to arrive on the morning ot£ Christmas Day (next Saturday) and to remain until th c following Thursday. There will be four days' play during their stay, two one-day matches and the final two days' match against the representatives off the Whangarei Cricket Association. In order to suit the convenience of the country players th 6 programme originally agreed upon hag been Modified, it is now proposed that a team from the town clubs should meet the visitors on iGhfistmas Day, play commencing at 9.30 a.m., so that the interval for dinner may be made rather longer than usual. On Boxing Day, Monday, December 27, a combined Mangapai and Onerahi team will try conclusions with the visitors, and on Tuesday and Wednesday the Whangarei Association's representatives will be pitted against the Auciklanders.
