HIKURANGI.
TENNIS CLUB.
A general meeting of the Hikurangi Tennis Club was held last evening in the Parish Hall, when about twenty members were present.
It was decided to open the courts on {Saturday next.
Invitations were received from Whangarei and Mairtown Tennis Clubs, for members to be present a+, their openings. ;
Arrangements for a pi'osentatdon on Monday (Labour Day) were made.
The committee met after the general meeting; present —Mr Payne (president), Mesdames Pattern and Trotter, Misses Coute, Pearson and Wyatt and Messrs Parker, O'Shea, Ruston, Harris and Burley (secretary).
It was decided that men.play 9 up and ladies 7 up in the challenge round of the ladder. The draw for Labour Day is as follows: —
