SAN FRANCISCO, June 21. Among outstanding aspirants for. Presidential nomination by the Democratic party are Mr. R. L. Owen, Senator for Oklahoma, who is prominently eonected with important Federal financial laws; Mr. G. M. Hitchcock,-Sen-' a tor for Nebraska, the former Democratic leader in the Senate; Mr. E. I. Edwards, Governor of New Jersey, who was elected on a platform opposed to prohibition; Mr. J. M. Cox, Governor of Ohio; Mr. T. R. Marshall,-now VicePresident; Mr. J. W. Davis, United States Ambassador to Britain; Mr. A. Mitchell Palmer, Attorney-General; Mr. Carter Glass, former Secretary of the Treasury; Mi. A. E. Smith, Governor of New York, Mr J. W. Gerard, form er Ambassador to Germany; and Mr. Bainbrfdgo Colby, Secretary of State. The question is raised whether Mr. Wilson will run for v third term. It is pointed out that he has not yet definitely expressed his intention in this respect. There is also some talk of nominating Mr. W. G. McAdoo, former Secretary of the Treasury, 'despite his statement, that he vill not stand for nomination. —A. and N.Z.
