DIVIDED OPINION

GENOA, June 17.
The Seamen's International Conference discussed the eight-hour day, which was generally approved, but considerable discussion ensued over the proposed forty-eight hour week. The British delegates demanded Sundays entirely off.
The Anglo-American delegates differed regarding the sailors' right to leave ships t at any port.—A. and N.Z.
