MACARTHY TRUST FUNDS
WELLINGTON, This Day
Since the first distribution of profits from the estate of' the late Mr. T. G. Macarthy, iB 1913, roughly half of which goes to benefit charitable and educational institutes in Wellington district, the impressive sum of £41,222 has been distributed according to the terms of the trust. The amount available in the manner referred to for distribution as the result of operations in 1919, is £(5468, or £1353 more than in the preceding years.
At the annual meeting of the.Board of Trust, yesterday, seventy applications for grants were received from charitable and educational institutions i\n<l of that number sixty-three were considered favourably.—Press Assn.
