COMMERCIAL.
HIDES AND.SKINS,
BUSINESS STILL SLACK.
(Special to "Advocate.") • AUCKLAND, This Day. Very little business was transacted at this week's hide sales in Auckland, but there Was a firmer demand for heavy hides than at the two previous sales.
The inquiry this week was chiefly for abattoir and freezer hides, the former being quoted from 11 to 14id, and the latter from 14id to 14Sd.
Only nominal values were quoted for light hides. Both descriptions of calf skins were quoted at prices ranging from 12d, to 20d, according to quality and condition.
