A HEAVY SESSION,
THE REMAINING CAfaES.

AUCKLAND, This Day,
The adjourned sitting of the Supreme .Court in Auckland commenced on May 17th before 'Mr Justice Chapman. There were 34 cases for trial and of these 25 have been disposed of. Two other cases were also heaxd, but the juries disagreed and new trials were ordered. It is proIbaible that the session will be rtsumed before Mr Justice Cooper.
Judge Chapman left for Wellington yesterday to attend a sitting of the Court of Appeal.
The criminal cases still to he dealt with are:—Percy Dare, allleged manslaughter (second trial); Harry Goliding and Frank Dawsey, alleged fraud (second trial); Reginald H. U. Homer, alleged indecent assault on a girlj William James Davidson, alleged supplying, of a noxious thing; Tony iSrhoj, alleged assaultt and. causing actual bodily harm; Ernest Stewart, alias Tuokey, alias Mclntyre, and Hugh James Collins, alias Briscoe, alleged breaking, entering and theft and alleged breaking and entering with intent to, commit a crime; Patrick Francis Brosnahan, allleged theft; Franklin John Smith, alleged rape; Francis John Trevelyan, alleged indecent assault (three charges).
