In the House of Commons Mr Lloyd George said: "The Turks must be deprived of the custody of the Dardanelles. We cannot trust the same porter again."—Times.
The Premier also stated that the Allies .intended making peac e with Turkey at the earliest possible moment.—A. and N.Z.
