Hindenburg wa s accorded an enthusiastic ovation by great crowds on arriving to give evidence befor e the Responsibility for War Committee. Ludendorff and other generals were present. Hindenburg kissed Ludendorff on both cheeks, the crowd singing "Deutschland Über Alles."—A. and N.Z.
