CHAOTIC CONDITIONS.
IN AUSTRIAN CAPITAL,
CAUSED BY COAL SHORTAGE.
(Received 9 a.m.)
VIENNA, Sept. 22,
Shortage of coal has paralysed the city. The trams have been stopped and restaurants and theatres are closed at eight o'clock at night. The factories have only six hours' supply and are closing to-day, rendering idle two hundred and fifty thousand workers.
Communist workers are taking advantage of the chaos. —A. and N.Z.
