RAILWAY DAMAGE EXTENSIVE.
(Received 8 a.m.) LONDON, May 2. Sixteen persons implicated in the Punjab riots have been sentenced to terms of -imprisonment and transportation varying from "life" to seven months.
The damage to the north-western railways during the riots is estimated at one hundred thousand pounds.— A. and N.Z.
