WOMEN'S TERRIBLE DEATH.
AUCKLAND, Sept. 28,
Virginia Smith, aged 35, the wife of a soldier on active service, when crossing Victoria street last night was struck by a tram and dragged twenty yards down the hill. Sh«. was probably killed instantly. The body was terribly mutilated.—Press Assn.
