GRIEVOUS BODILY HARM.
FIVE-YEAR SENTENCE,
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, November 13.
A man named Arthur William Led. gerwood was charged at the Supreme Court yesterday with the attempted murder of a young woman named Ruby Janet McKtiight. A second charge was shooting with intent to do grievous bodily harm. The jury, after a retirement of half an hour, returned a verdict of guilty on the charge of intentionally inflicting grievous bodily harm, and'Lcdgerwoud
was sentenced to five years imprisonment with hard labour.
