Divine services were held on Sunday at St. Stephen's, when the Rev. Geddes preached his introductory sermons. Mr Geddes has been appointed, vice Mr Johnson, who is on active service.

Very general regret is expressed at the news that Private Claude Wrack was wounded in the recent fierce fighting on the Flanders front. Private Wrack, who enlisted in the 19th Reinforcements, was employed oa the staff of the local Railway Department and was very popualr.

Mrs R. Savage returned to her home on Saturday, after a successful operation performed at the Whangarei hospital.
