PAPAROA.
—On Wednesday, December G, a sa!e of work and gifts in aid of the Metliodst Parsonage maintenance fund was held in the Garrison Hail under the management of the Ladies' Guild. A fine day favoured the gathering and the attendance was most encouraging. Good business was done at the stalls, the total proceeds for the day being some £SB, Public tea was provided at 5 p.m., and during the evening competitions for ladies and gentlemen causej much amusement Pres:'lin.s: at the stalls were Mesdames J.
