PERSONAL.
The Prime Minister of New Zealand (Kt. Hon. W. F, Massey) will probably commence his return journey from England to the Dominion in January, travelling via Vancouver. Mr P. Sturt'Brown, of Ngunguru, has been laid up for a fortnight with sciatica. "I suppose," lie says facetiously, "it js the result of old age and ..early piety. *' His friends will be glail to learn that his condition is improving. • Mr Neil Weaver (familiarly known iv Whangarei as 'Nick") has gained his sergeant's stripes. He went away with the thirds and fought in Gallipoli and Egypt. He is in the■ latter place now and a recent photograph of him shows him to be in excellcut fettle.
