CONCERT AT WAIPU.

A popular St. Andrew's concert was held at Waipu last night. A party of Whangarei artists, including Madame Edith Brainsbv, Miss Crissic Omiiston Mr Richard Hosking, with Mr A. Dob -;oii as accompanist, assisted the follow»nrj Waipu artists: Miss Katie McMillan, Miss Cleaver, and Mr Brown, with the programme. Several of Mr McLean 's pupils also rendered clever Scottish dances Mr Norman McLean •x'ted as chairman. "Orpheus with Mis Lute," and "Down the Forest," '•'or encore; recitation, "Aunt Ta bitha," Miss Cleaver: "Sheauntriub has," a charming dance, by two of Mr McLean's pupils; song, Miss Katie McMillan, "Down, the Burn Davie," and em-ore "Whistle and I'll Come to You"; duet, Madame Brainsby and Miss Omiiston, "Tittle Tattle" (enthusiastically encored); song, "Reuben Rairzo," with "Mother Machrce" as encore, Mr Hosking: song, "Caller Ilcrrin," Madame Brainsby, with "Three Fishers" for encore; song, Mr Brown, "Jessie, the Flower of Dubblane"; song, Miss Omiiston, -'April Morn," encore "The Woodpecker"; "The Sailor's Hornpipe," (in costume) Mr McLean's pupils. The concert, which was a pronounced success, concluded with the National Anthem.
