TO THE LOYAL TROOPS
The King has wired to General Maxwell: "Now that the lamentable outbreak is finally quelled"l wish to express to the gallant troops of Ireland, the Irish Constabulary and the Dublin police my deep sense of their whole-hearted devotion to duty and ,the spirit of self-sacrifice in which they acted.
