Official: An enemy column in the Riga-Shawli region reached Tukyum on the Loblin front and advanced, on ISth southwards towards Hofzumberge. Cossacks raided the ein*emy rear north of Okiany capturing an important convoy. We continue to press the enemy in the Popeliany region and repulsed attacks on the. Shawli positions on the night of 17th and dislodged the enemy from the last trenches on Trans-Niemen front, which we won on loth.

The enemy assumed the offensive on the Narew front, capturing Porely on the right bank of the Pissa on ,17th. We repulsed an attack on the left, bank of the Chkva*near Vykpchetchniak. Our troop in the west of Omulieff withdrew toward the" Narew bridgehead, fighting an obstinate rearguard action with the enemy.' Attacks on Wilkolaz-Bykhava front-in the direction of Lublin wei'a repulsed. The enemy captured Krastosnav' and Vieprz .fords above. We repulsed, many attacks on the right bank of the Vieprz, but- the enemy established himself on the right bank of the Volitza near the mouth. We thereupon withdrew to the second line. We repulsed four furious attacks on' a wide front near Crabowice and drove the enemy on 17th between Genitchva and the Bug after "desperate fighting from all his trenches. Desperate fighting continues in the Sokal region also on the Dniester and serious engagements in other dlrections.-
