FOOTBALL.
RESTRICTION OF MATCHES
URGED.

LONDON, July 20>
In the House of Commons, Mr Tennant, Under-Secretary for War, in response to a request as to the views of the Government on football, said that although the measures taken in 1914 had not realised all the desired results, in the main they were satisfactory. The Government looks confidently to those responsible to restrict further the matches In accordance with the strong public feeling.
