C-ounsel explained that. accused's lapse was due to unfortunate sps-cula-tions. When the war started he iaimediately volunteered and went to Egypt, earning the good opinion of his officers, who were willing to take him back. Restitution of the amount would be made, and counsel asked that Curtis be allowed to return to the war.
