Mr. and Mrs. Leslie, who were concerned in a buggy accident in Otaika Street last night, reside in Kaeo. Inquiry as to- the conditiln of MrY Leslie, who was seriously hurt, reveals the fact that he is progressing very favourably. Mr. Leslie is 78 years, of age. l
Pte. D. L. Jack, son of the Mayor' 1 (Mr D. W. Jack) arrived in>Wbtfngarei to-day from Samoa. " He is looking well, and is tanned to a deeper » shade of brown'than even the North Aucklander can produce. Respecting the treatment in Samoa he appears to be well satisfied, having no complaints to make.
