A COUNTY CLERK'S FOLLY.
AUCKLAND, Dec. 2
At the Supreme Court to-day Arthur Forbes Newbold, formerly County Clerk at Lawrence, was convicted on six charges of embezzlement, the sum involved amounting to £152. He was sentenced to six mouths' imprisonment.
